Sí, Se Puede (Yes, You Can) Board Members:

William Isaacson, B.A., M.A., PhD, Professor Emeritus and former Dean of Instruction, Five Towns College, Dix Hills, NY. Dr. Isaacson’s years of studies and travels abroad, particularly to Cuba and Mexico, have given him an intimate knowledge of many cultures and languages. He is also a former principal and ESL professor.

Madeleine Lanza-Giraldi is an adjunct professor at Five Towns College and SUNY Farmingdale. She has over 30 years of professional experience in marketing communications and has worked for Bantam Publishing, TDK Electronics, Hitachi Broadcast Division, West Publishing, and Pall Corporation. She was a trustee of Harrison’s Heart Foundation, and was on the fundraising committee for the Long Island Fund for Women and Girls.
She is Co-founder of Sí, Se Puede Mentoring Group.

Brandon Pagan, Account Executive, MNI Media Networks, Inc, a division of Time, Inc. in Melville, NY. Mr. Pagan is a graduate of SUNY Albany. Brandon is a member of the Long Island Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and Long Island Elite, and has participated on the Hispanic Advisory board for the Suffolk County Minority Affairs Office.
He is Co-founder of Sí, Se Puede Mentoring Group.

Ed Perez. Former Director, Office of Minority Affairs, Suffolk County, and President of Diversity Resource Network (DRN), a sales and marketing organization specializing in business enterprises.

Manny Reyes is Director of Internal Audit at Julius Baer Investment Management in New York City. Manny was born and raised on Long Island, and is a graduate of C. W. Post College in Old Westbury. He is a CPA and an active member of the Institute of Internal Auditors.

Hector Sepulveda, MD, MA, MPH. Associate Dean for Academic Affairs Suffolk County Community College. Clinical Associate Professor, for the Dept. of Preventive Medicine, School of Medicine, Director for Community Outreach and Education, GCRC for Stony Brook University.

Teresa Zampino is Marketing Director, International Sales Division, and Random House Publishing. Teresa is responsible for the planning and direction of international promotions and book fairs. She is a graduate of Long Beach City College and attended the University of California at Long Beach and New York University.


The following are short bios of our mentors:

Gary Cucchi, Account Executive, Progressive Marketing Group, Melville, NY. Gary works on strategic planning and tactical execution of branding, public relations, advertising, and database marketing. Prior to joining PMG in 1998 Gary was involved in telecommunications and was a marketing communications coordinator for Four Seasons Sunrooms. He is an alumnus of Salisbury State University where he earned his B.A. with a major in communications and a minor in marketing management.
Gary has been the recipient of multiple awards including, BOLI (Best of Long Island, advertising awards) and Graphic Design awards.

Brandon Pagan, Account Executive, MNI Media Networks, Inc, a division of Time, Inc. in Melville, NY. Mr. Pagan is a graduate of SUNY.
Brandon is a member of the Long Island Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and Long Island Elite, he is a marketing committee member for the Nassau County Museum of Art, works with the Suffolk County Minority Affairs, is on the Hispanic Advisory board, and on the advisory board for The Morgan Center a Pre-School for Children with Cancer.
He has lived on Long Island for the past 22 years.

Teresa Zampino is Marketing Director, International Sales Division, and Random House Publishing. Teresa is responsible for the planning and direction of international promotions and book fairs. Born in Havana, Cuba, Teresa Zampino grew up in Southern California. She is a graduate of Long Beach City College and attended the University of California at Long Beach and New York University.

Sarah Tricoche is a former Quality Control Manager for ADP Associates; she is currently working as a teacher’s assistant while attending Long Island University in Brentwood where she is pursuing a degree in Education

Martha Connie Salas has been a Principal Broker, Easy Homes Realty, for five years. Connie holds a Bachelors degree in Computer Science from Columbia University. She worked for seven years at Data Radio in Minnesota as an International Sales Manager.

Lawrence Gargano, principal, Greenview Properties, Graduate of NYIT, major in architecture. Larry has over twenty-five years of experience in real estate construction and
Development. He serves on the board of United Cerebral Palsy and the Great South Bay YMCA..

Frank Stamatatos is Vice President of New Business Development at Willis of New York, Inc. He has over 20 years of professional experience in Sales, Marketing and Operational Management and holds a degree in Electrical Engineering and a Masters of Business Administration in Finance and Marketing. Having traveled the world as a business professional, he has a unique view of the world at large and a vision for succeeding against all odds.

John Oddo, Assistant Vice President, Citibanking Technology Solutions Group. John has been a mentor before and works with BOCES teaching music to young adults. He is a percussion instructor and arranger.
